Author Self-Archiving Policy

Journal of Dental Sciences and Education (JDSE) and MediHealth Academy published by MediHealth Academy, supports open access and author self-archiving. Authors retain the right to self-archive and share the preprint, Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM), and final published Version of Record (VoR) of their articles in accordance with the following policy.

1. Preprint Version

A preprint is the original version of a manuscript before peer review.

Authors may deposit and share their preprints at any time, without any embargo period, on personal websites, institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, preprint servers, or other appropriate scholarly platforms.

Following publication in JDSE, authors should update the preprint record to acknowledge the journal as the original place of publication and provide a link to the final published version.

The recommended acknowledgment is:

"This is a preprint of an article published in the Journal of Dental Sciences and Education (JDSE). The final published version is available online at https://doi.org/[DOI]."

2. Accepted Manuscript Version

The Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) is the version of an article that has been accepted for publication following peer review but has not yet undergone the journal's final copyediting, typesetting, or proof correction.

Authors may deposit and publicly share their accepted manuscripts immediately upon acceptance, without any embargo period or additional permission from JDSE or MediHealth Academy.

Accepted manuscripts may be deposited in institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, funder repositories, personal websites, or other appropriate scholarly platforms.

The recommended acknowledgment is:

"This is the Author Accepted Manuscript of an article accepted for publication in the Journal of Dental Sciences and Education (JDSE). This version has undergone peer review but has not yet been subjected to the journal's final copyediting and typesetting."

Once the final article has been published, authors should update the repository record to include the complete bibliographic citation and DOI link to the final published version.

3. Published Version

The Version of Record (VoR) is the final, officially published version of an article, including all editorial and production changes.

Authors retain the right to deposit and publicly share the final published version of their articles immediately upon publication, without any embargo period or additional permission from JDSE or MediHealth Academy.

The published version may be deposited in institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, funder repositories, personal websites, or other appropriate scholarly platforms.

All articles published in JDSE are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
